![]() In fact, I was already offered a refund by samsung when I tried to RMA this defective unit 2 months ago since they had no g9s left to offer me.īut keep telling me how my plan is stupid since you're obviously so well informed :) You may not think they are "idiots" and they may or may not be but that doesn't affect the low stock of g9's leading to the inability to trade in defective products for new ones in the Samsung or geek squad warranty. monitor does this weird filter effect when certain content is on the screen.Stuck pixel (sure not as big a problem).Deep power issue where monitor doesn't sync up with computer.LOUD popping on the monitor at all times.Furthermore I have several issues that I'm not "claiming" but that I can prove: How would they even know I am trading up unless I'm enough of an idiot to tell them? I wouldn't even register the new monitor until the old one was refunded. I am still in the warranty period for samsung and I have a geek squad warranty. I'm not sure if you read or understood my post fully but it wouldn't be a "trade" for people "claiming problems". Honestly I'm so salty the g9 2021 is already in the works as I'd hope that happens to solve all the problems of its predecessor. I know it's a simple plan that honestly probably seems like it doesn't warrant a post (I'd normally use a weekly questions thread for this but I don't think UWMR has one?) but I think I'd just like to discuss this plan to see if I'm missing anything. What I'd like to do is hopefully buy the new one, and then claim Samsung or Geek Squad warranty to get this one refunded. Supposedly there's a new g9 coming out this summer with qled and hopefully (more important to me) several QoL improvements based on what they learned from making this monitor. I have a g9 which is great MINUS its several quirks that make it a pain to use sometimes. So I understand we barely even know anything about the upcoming g9 and that none of you will be able to say for sure if this idea will work, but I'm open to hearing similar experiences based on other items.
